In the last days of October, while the autumn was still tasting like the gentle days of summer, I have been invited to spend few days on an Island, in the south of France, in the Méditerranée.

After 10 hours of commuting from north west of France to the South east, car + 3 trains + Taxi + Boat — we arrived on the little island of Porquerolles (#porquerolles).

And I got inspired. L’écrin sauvage (The Wild Insulation)

The island has no roads, so no cars — you do all by feet and bike. The calm is heaven — a peaceful place for the soul.

A small 7x3km island — but with a palette of colours and granularity, the soft white sand, to beige rock, black mountain, enduring green vegetation, the light blue of the eucalyptus trees and the azur of the Sea.

The journey itself was legendary

So after 2 full days — I took my watercolour and wanted to paint a raw paiting as this element here and show the victory of the beautiful nature.

Hibiscus, Eucalyptus, Violets, etc enter the array of mediums

I mixed the paint, use the natural colours, and used them as brushes.

And I left the flowers and leaves dry on paper.

On our way back, from the boat, I left the breeze and the sea splashing and drying the paper. And the result is amazing.

I drew in fine line the flowers, like the nature framing the island — where we are getting confused who is insulating who, who is protecting who — like this beautiful Porquerolles, Wild Insulation.

The artwork now is on Async Art and can live on the Blockchain at the Day and Night Rythm ❤
